Andrew has particular experience of sustainability projects including large scale regeneration, commercial, hospitality and residential developments. He leads PRP’s Sustainability consultancy and Research team and is responsible for sustainability at Board level.

His role involves undertaking analysis and developing innovative sustainability strategies, design solutions and behavioural programmes at community and building scale, including consideration of issues such as climate change, overheating, indoor air quality, occupant wellbeing and life cycle costs. His research work currently covers post occupancy evaluation, climate change resilience, health and wellbeing in housing, moisture resistance and efficient retrofit.

Andrew provides sustainability training for PRP’s staff, clients and consultants. He has written a number of articles and publications on sustainability issues for national press and construction industry journals and regularly speaks at industry conferences.

Marylis Ramos Associate Director Research

Marylis has particular interest and expertise in sustainability strategies and environmental design. Her role involves both technical delivery and project management and her project experience includes a number of high profile research projects, including the Zero Carbon Compendium for the Zero Carbon Hub, the Business Case for Green Buildings for the World Green Building Council, the Optimising Thermal Efficiency in Existing Housing research project for the Energy Technologies Institute, and more recently, the Red Lodge Climate Change Adaptation Study for the Joseph Rowntree Foundation.

She has excellent knowledge of UK and international environmental assessment procedures, and is able to advise on a wide range of sustainable design issues, both in building and urban design including daylight access, overheating and microclimates. Marylis has written a number of publications, has spoken at international conferences, and is a highly skilled researcher.

Sarah Harrison Associate Director Research

Location: London

Sarah is an Associate Director focussing on Research and Development. She is particularly interested in Post Occupancy research and is currently working for a major RSL on a longitudinal study monitoring the efficiency of Passivhaus homes. Recent publications include: Tenure Integration, a Literature Review (September 2015) NHBC and Superdensity, the Sequel, (August 2014) 4 Housing Architects.

Sarah is an experienced project manager and has led a number of housing regeneration schemes and co-ordinated large research projects. An experienced communicator and negotiator and particularly skilled in involving stakeholders, she drives projects forwards through a team approach, encouraging commitment and investment from a range of partners. She also facilitates design workshops.
