Located at the heart of the vibrant Ancoats Conservation Area on the Eastern edge of Manchester's city centre, New Little Mill forms part of the Murrays’ Mills complex, which at the turn of the 19th Century was one of the largest cotton spinning complexes in the world. Despite it's rich history, New Little Mill had been vacant for over 30 years and fallen into disrepair - in particular the internal structure which suffered significantly due to a collapsed roof.

The development saw the repair and refurbishment of the existing façade and the complete removal and replacement of the internal steel and cast iron structure. A two storey rooftop extension to the existing five-storey building accommodates a mix of two and three-bed duplex apartments, with roof terraces and winter gardens whist the floors within the existing building house spacious one and two bedroom apartments.

The dwellings are arranged around a central courtyard covered by a glazed roof to allow natural light to fill the space and provide residents with a covered approach from the main entrance to their dwellings. All alterations are in response to the schemes historical context and location within the Ancoats Conservation area. The development provides 68 high-quality apartments for private sale.
