SG1, is the transformative regeneration covering 14.5 acres of Stevenage town centre and will introduce 11 new buildings including residential, leisure, community, commercial and retail facilities. With a focus on inclusivity, environmental sustainability and wellbeing, SG1 will create attractive new streets, squares and public realm and improve pedestrian and cycle connections across the town. This landmark regeneration led by developer Mace will play a key role in the recovery of Stevenage post-COVID-19.

The approved hybrid application comprises approximately 140,000 sqm of new mixed-use development including ground floor retail and commercial space to attract an improved café and restaurant offer to the town; a diverse array of new public open space; a new 9,500 sqm public services hub; a primary school and 1,864 new homes.
