Central to our culture and ethos is our desire to encourage employees to feel part of the wider PRP team as well as their local studio. Achievement of this is through various means as shown on this webpage. Our working environment is always flexible, friendly and enormously supportive, and we do aim to incorporate a bit of fun in there also! It is further enriched by the many diverse employee backgrounds which means we benefit greatly from different perspectives and ideas.
Few know as much about housing design as PRP, which makes us an excellent hub of learning for aspiring architectural assistants and architects of all levels. As well as the opportunity to work on prestigious and large scale projects, new employees can tap into a wealth of expertise from our interdisciplinary groups and through on-going coaching and mentoring by the many talented individuals at PRP.
Development and growth of individual skillsets is key to ensuring everyone can contribute according to their capabilities and is achieved mainly through informal L&D routes by our management teams who are pivotal in enabling the process of upskilling. Rising stars are identified and nurtured across the practice, as well as opportunities for progression for those who have what it takes to step up. We offer financial support in a number of forms towards payment of exam fees. A heady mix of a strong working environment, great and talented people and a desire to support continuous development are the mechanisms we have in place to ensure we continue to go from strength to strength with the help of our employees who are core to our success.

A regular fixture in the PRP calendar are the matches that take place through the Summer months against other architectural practices. So far the PRP winning streak remains more or less unblemished! The Summer of 2015 saw the first match between staff and management - Staff were triumphant!
The PRP 'Extreme Team' completed their skydive challenge for Ovarian Cancer Action by throwing themselves out of a perfectly good plane at 13,000 feet, free falling 8,000 feet at speeds in excess of 100mph and then floating down by parachute for a safe landing! They raised over £8,000.
Regular internal design reviews provide an opportunity for employees at all levels to discuss issues and input into current schemes. They provide an excellent forum for learning as well as being an integral part of our working process.
Our managers play a key role in the development of all employees, some of which have the potential to be future managers of PRP. With the provision and support of formal training, we aim to supplement existing coaching and mentoring capabilities amongst our managers, as well as develop their potential as the next leadership tier of PRP.
