A new chapter for PRP Manchester as Simon Doody joins as Director

PRP has appointed Simon Doody as Director in its Manchester studio, supporting the continuing growth of the practice’s residential portfolio and strengthening leadership across the Northwest. Simon joins from Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios (FCBS) where he spent 22 years, most recently as Senior Partner. He will lead the Manchester office alongside Alistair Weir and with the support of Craig Sheach, Partner.

With three decades of experience across residential, workplace, mixed-use, education and masterplanning sectors, Doody will oversee the design and delivery of projects across the office, with his focus at PRP being on socially impactful residential, commercial and civic projects.

During his time at FCB, Doody led the studio’s Higher Education sector whilst driving international business development initiatives across Asia, North America and Africa. He also directed a number of landmark projects for the Manchester Metropolitan University, including the Business School and Student Hub, Students’ Union, the SODA building, the library refurbishment and the re-working of the listed Ormond Building. Collectively, the body of work received five RIBA Awards between 2013 – 2026, alongside BCIA and BCO awards.  Among his other notable projects is Green City Kigali, a 720-hectare sustainable urban development project in Rwanda, which won the WAF and WAFX awards in 2023. His work in Manchester over the last 10 years has been heavily focussed on residential-led regeneration.
