Following PRP’s recent appointment to Notting Hill Genesis's four-year Fire Safety Framework, our Development Consultancy team have won a contract to provide fire consultancy services for the housing association’s 138-home Perfume Factory development in Acton, west London.

The affordable scheme will transform a former factory site in the borough of Ealing into 78 London Affordable Rent and 60 Shared Ownership homes, building on Notting Hill Genesis’s mission to deliver quality affordable homes that create diverse and thriving communities. Developed by sustainable housebuilder Telford Homes, the project started on site in October 2021 and is programmed for completion in March 2024.

PRP Partner Andrew Mellor will be heading up the commission, which entails the provision of fire consultancy services for RIBA Stages 5 and 6. An expert in fire safety, Andrew is currently providing the UK Government’s Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities with technical advice on Building Regulations and Building Safety analytical work.

Andrew Mellor, Partner at PRP, comments: "We are delighted to have been selected by Notting Hill Genesis to provide fire consultancy services for their Perfume Factory development. Our commercially-focussed, dynamic and forward-thinking project team will draw from their unrivalled expertise in fire safety – from design through to the construction, occupation and refurbishment stages.

"We look forward to working with the wider project team to deliver a safe, compliant and occupancy-focussed scheme."

The appointment is call-off from Lot 2B of Notting Hill Genesis’s Fire Safety Framework.
