Chobham Manor wins Mayor's Prize
PRP is delighted to have been awarded the Mayor's Prize at the New London Architecture awards for the joint masterplanning of Chobham Manor, London's first Olympic legacy neighbourhood.
PRP has been instrumental in realising this high quality scheme adjacent to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. We are proud that our masterplan has come to fruition from the initial concept to the delivery of the spaces and buildings on site; all in close collaborative working with the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC).
Phase one is complete and saw the launch of the UKs first multigenerational house - a new housing typology designed by PRP at the heart of this family-friendly neighbourhood, which provides over 800 homes together with generous outdoor public space and mixed-use amenity.
The Mayor's Prize recognises projects that best reflect the Mayor's ambition for 'Commissioning Quality' expressed through the 'Good Growth by Design' programme. Chobham Manor has already made a significant contribution to the area with positive feedback received from residents who also benefit from world-class sporting venues, cultural amenities and parks.
