PRP has submitted a new planning application for the regeneration of Harriot, Apsley and Pattison Houses in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. Working with the designs of the previously granted planning permission for this site, PRP has submitted a revised plan to include a standalone mosque to serve the community.

The regeneration will transform three 1960s council blocks into 407 homes, including 70 replacement homes for existing tenants and resident leaseholders, and a vibrant, safe and sustainable surrounding neighbourhood. The homes will be spread across a series of mid-rise blocks set within accessible, tree-lined streets, private courtyards offering communal growing gardens and a mix of social spaces designed to serve all generations.

Informed by extensive, meaningful community consultation, PRP’s consented design is a product of genuine collaboration, and the regeneration will transform the area into a thriving neighbourhood with high-quality homes and safe public realm, significantly improving the quality of life of residents and local people.

This new application includes a standalone mosque which was designed after close consultation with residents, the community and the associated religious organisation, the RCCM. The mosque has been designed with RCCM to provide spacious and accessible layout., the new facility will now be able to provide all of their needs in a modern functioning facility.

It is hoped that work can start on site for this transformative regeneration in 2025.
