PRP wins seventh HAPPI award in six years at the 2016 Housing Design Awards

By PRP – 13 July 2016

On Monday night, Windmill Court (Weale Road), PRP's recently completed extra care scheme for Circle Housing, was honoured with a HAPPI award at the Housing Design Awards, taking PRP's tally to seven since the HAPPI category's initiation in 2010.

This award is given to projects that best reflect the recommendations proposed in the Housing our Ageing Population Panel for Innovation (HAPPI) report. Windmill Court was praised for the layouts skill in exploiting access and exposure to panoramic views, as well as the carefully designed recessed flat entrances that provide dignified thresholds for each home.

'If you happen to have an ageing relative you love in the Chingford area, you couldn’t do better for them than point them towards the delightful Windmill Court extra care facility.'
Jeremy Porteus, Housing LIN

PRP is thrilled to be recognised once again for its pioneering work in the specialist housing sector.

Other PRP schemes that were shortlisted this year are:
