PRP wins approval for Brixton's tallest tower
PRP and Network Housing Group have won approval for the final phase of the £200m Stockwell Park Estate regeneration scheme in south London.
The redevelopment of Thrayle House replaces an existing 1970’s block with a family of buildings of varying scale, the tallest being a 20-storey block on the south of the site, adjacent to Stockwell skatepark.
The mixed-use development includes 177 new homes, featuring 41 homes for affordable rent, 40 affordable homes for active elderly people over the age of 55 and 96 private sale apartments. The ground floor will feature retail and community space.
The scheme, which incorporates innovative courtyard townhouses, duplex dwellings, dual-aspect apartments and penthouses, will be the tallest in Brixton.
PRP has worked jointly with Network Housing Group and the LB Lambeth on the Stockwell Park masterplan since 2008. Thrayle House will form the final part of the regeneration programme.
