We are thrilled to have contributed to the University of Birmingham’s report, Planning for Intergenerational Futures: Conversations with Professional Stakeholders and Residents of New Build Communities.

The report is part of a broader initiative to shape national and international agendas, focusing on creating better places for children, young people, and families. It outlines 10 key recommendations for the wider industry, co-designed by 30 professionals, including PRP's Associate Director, Mary Hutchison, at a conference in Birmingham in May 2024.

The recommendations include developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for long-term intergenerational communities, ensuring genuine diversity in decision-making, advocating for statutory mechanisms to improve intergenerational spaces, and amplifying the commitment to reducing car dominance.
