PRP has been awarded the 'Certificate of Commitment and Progress – Building Safety Stage One' from Building a Safer Future (BSF) following the successful completion of the Leadership and Culture surveys conducted in September.

As of January 2024, PRP stands among a select group of six organisations within the built environment sector to achieve this certification, bringing the total number of entities at Stage One completion to sixteen. To date, only ten organisations have navigated through the comprehensive BSF Champion assessment, which includes the Stage 2 Corroborating Elements assessment. PRP is set to move forward to the next stage later this year.

Achieving the BSF Champion assessment underscores PRP’s ongoing dedication to improving building safety and drive sustainable change across the industry. Scott Sanderson, Partner at PRP, said: "It has been both insightful and rewarding to connect and engage with the BSF team and complete the Leadership and Culture survey. The feedback will inform our continuing commitment towards a positive and collaborative safety culture. We’re looking forward to progressing to the next stage of the assessment."

The BSF Champion assessment process gives companies detailed insight into their existing leadership and culture around building safety and equips them with actionable data and practical tools to help review and upgrade processes, driving meaningful and measurable improvement in leadership and culture around building safety, and in doing so, help rebuild public trust.

Dame Judith Hackitt, Chair of the Independent Review of Building Regulations and Fire Safety and Chair of the Industry Safety Steering Group commented: “Every journey of culture change starts with an open and honest assessment of where you are today. All of the companies who have achieved Champion status have shown the courage to look at themselves and understand the steps they need to take to improve and are now embarked upon that journey. Their leadership and the benefits they can demonstrate already from setting out on this journey should be a wake-up call to everyone else to get onboard.”
