'Shelter in the City' goes down a storm at the Archikids Festival 2016!
PRP’s ‘Shelter in the City’ event provided an opportunity for this year's Archikids to learn about structure, function, identity and community, by designing and constructing their very own, life-sized shelter from a selection of bright and brilliant materials.
Focussed around five learning stations, the workshop encouraged children to engage in the core principles of architecture and construction, whilst taking inspiration from the surroundings of London's impressive urban scenery.
The event attracted close to 100 Archikids whose creative minds blew us away! Highlights included a pink palace, an emergency shelter, the famous cake house, a happy hat, umbrellas, crowns, the Eddie Bridge and much more!
Thank you to all those who came along, we will see you again next year!
