UK-GBC Health & Wellbeing in Homes Report Launched

By PRP – 11 July 2016

Last week UK-GBC launched a report on the topic of health & wellbeing in homes. Our home environments have a huge impact on our overall health and the report outlines the key issues in this sector.

The report is about beginning a concerted effort to shift the market towards a focus on the mental, social and physical health and wellbeing of the people who occupy the homes we build and retrofit. It is aimed at all those with a role in developing, designing, delivering or managing housing and focuses on general needs homes in the UK housing sector. The aim is to gather and distil the most compelling evidence and advice about building and neighbourhood design features which can enhance the health and wellbeing of residents.

PRP were instrumental in the delivery of this report, chairing the metrics workstream, authoring the mental health and wellbeing, metrics and retrofit chapters, as well as designing key infographics for the report.
