These 44 extra care apartments in the grounds of a Grade II-listed historic building meet the recommendations of the HAPPI report, enabling residents to live independently in their own home. Gloomy corridors are avoided with access to dwellings from deck access walkways. The walkways overlook shared landscaped gardens and facilitate greater interaction, while dual-aspect design ensures good ventilation and plenty of natural light.

Buff and grey brickwork combination was chosen to link with nearby buildings – buff, surrounding homes and grey, its historic neighbour.
