Chelmer Waterside is a residential-led riverside quarter, delivering 421 new homes and public spaces south-east of the city centre. The site occupies a peninsula, bounded by the River Chelmer.
The masterplan delivers dwellings covering a number of tenures and typologies, through buildings of varied heights and forms that will be knitted together by a rich and well-considered landscape which will extend towards and interact with the riverside setting. Features will include a new public square, green spaces and complimentary non-residential uses, to create a thriving new riverside quarter.
The buildings have been carefully orientated to maximise views to the water throughout, for both residents and visitors.
