Role: Client Representative, Employer's Agent and Cost Consultants, Site Inspectors (Clerk of Works).

PRP are partners with Catalyst and have provided full Client Representative and Cost Consultant services includingleadership of the partnering team during the design and procurement stages. We are working on a number of Catalyst projects and enjoy a very successful working relationship with this housing group delivering a high level of client service reflected in repeat commissions. We are specialists in delivery of Extra Care Housing and work with a number of the specialist providers.

PRP prepared the Project Brief and negotiated an Agreed Maximum Price with Leadbitter Construction. The project budgets were set from the original development appraisal informed by cost estimates from PRP. We then gave the selected Partnering Contractor a building cost to adhere to and both this and a high level of design and specification was met. The project was completed on time and within budget.

PRP managed the cost risks on this project by using a target cost open book procurement route using a PPC2000 form of contract. This approach allows the bespoke design of these types of facilities to be developed in conjunction with the contract or without incurring a cost premium. The final out turn cost was within budget.

Our success on the project was to ensure that the quality aspirations of the Council and RSL were met within a financial limit and timescale and that all stakeholders and residents were consulted and actively involved in the design and construction process.
