PRP is a large interdisciplinary practice providing Architecture and a range of complimentary design and consultancy services including Urban Design & Masterplanning.
We are looking for a Senior Urban Designer with an architectural background and a strong degree of UK housing and mixed use urban development knowledge and experience, as well as a high level of skill in leading planning application completion and submission. You will be part of a highly successful and integrated team and play a key role in the support and development of less experienced team members. Your expertise will be utilised on a number of key, challenging projects. Portfolios should clearly demonstrate involvement and a leading role in planning applications of urban regeneration schemes in the UK These could be examples of work of masterplans, design codes-design access statements, urban design analysis, concepts and visions, community engagement experience.
We are also looking for an Urban Designer with an architectural background and a good number of years of UK housing and urban regeneration experience, looking to develop and grow. You will be supporting the regeneration side of the team on a range of specialised and exciting projects. Portfolios should clearly demonstrate involvement in the preparation of urban regeneration projects in the UK, including but not limited to examples of urban design analysis, feasibility studies, concepts-visions, and masterplanning.
In addition to this we are looking for Assistant Urban Designers, with a reasonable degree of UK housing and urban development experience commensurate with the role level, who can bolster current skills within the team, respond well to direction given and are looking to develop and grow. You will be supporting on various projects that will stretch your capabilities.
These roles will all be hands on, requiring initiative and good communication skills that will be invaluable for attending consultation meetings and liaising with external stakeholders.
These opportunities are for those who can clearly demonstrate a desire to progress in the Urban Design field and a clear, keen interest in both regeneration and urban/suburban masterplanning evidenced in your portfolios, which are the main specialisms of the team.
The ideal candidates will also have excellent graphic skills and design ability using Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and AutoCad. A post-graduate qualification in urban design or similar with a background in architecture is highly desirable.
