This assisted living scheme near Leicester provides residents with a 'home for life', enabling them to live independently with access to care and support. The 31 dual-aspect apartments, on the site of an existing care home, are accessed via sheltered colonnades at the ground floor and gallery access at first. The layout is logical and calm, wrapping around the courtyard with views onto the oriental inspired gardens and central lime tree.

Domestic clay tiles, brick, timber and bronze-coloured windows and metalwork were chosen to evoke the client’s ecclesiastical history. The apartments avoid north facing habitable rooms and have balconies with winter gardens.
