Andrew has particular experience in large scale regeneration, residential, commercial and mixed-use developments. He leads PRP’s Development Consultancy and its Research team, and he is also responsible for the sustainability performance of the practice.
Providing strategic advice to clients on development projects and existing buildings, he also works as a technical advisor to DLHUC and the Welsh Government on building safety and regulations. He has a deep understanding of upcoming Building Safety regimes and regulatory changes.
Andrew’s expertise is in building reuse, retrofit and adaptation, construction quality and defect analysis, facade replacement, building safety, regulatory and standards compliance, sustainable development, zero carbon buildings, efficient building operation, health and wellbeing, climate change resilience, post occupancy evaluation and corporate sustainability strategies.
He also has much experience of directing integrated research and development projects to develop new legislation and policy, innovative construction products, delivery processes and technical solutions both in the UK and internationally. He also produces guidance and process documentation, provides training, undertakes strategic corporate consultancy and expert witness services for clients.
Andrew also contributes as a tutor at NYU London and columnist for Building Design, while frequently speaking at industry conferences.
