Andrew has extensive experience in large-scale regeneration, residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. He leads PRP’s Development Consultancy and Research team, overseeing the sustainability performance of the practice.
He provides strategic advice on development projects and existing buildings, serving as a technical advisor to DLHUC and the Welsh Government on building safety and regulations. Andrew has a comprehensive understanding of the Building Safety regimes and regulatory changes.
His expertise encompasses building reuse, retrofit, adaptation, construction quality, defect analysis, facade replacement, building safety, compliance with regulations and standards, sustainable development, zero carbon buildings, efficient building operation, health and wellbeing, climate resilience, post-occupancy evaluation, and corporate sustainability strategies.
Andrew is adept at directing research and development projects that contribute to new legislation, policy, and innovative construction solutions, both in the UK and internationally. He creates guidance documents, provides training, and offers strategic consultancy and expert witness services. Additionally, Andrew contributes as a tutor at NYU London and a columnist for Building Design, and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences.
